An update...

This week was another good one. We got to venture out one night for dinner (to The Aquarium) which was fun, and the weather was beautiful all week! I had another good week at school. My kids continued to learn all about the human body, we began our "writing to make a real-world difference" letters, we continued work on our cereal box project (they are designing a box to teach us about a country of their choice), and we worked a lot more on multiplication. My teaching is going really well. As for Dave, he is learning a ton! I helped him number the pages of his Anatomy notes one night (he has 700 pages of slides to learn this semester and just for one of his classes-Anatomy...wow)! He had a long week at school and some very long nights of studying. He has his unified test on Monday. This is basically a big test of all his subjects to let the students see how they're doing and where they stand 4 weeks before mid-terms. I'm sure Dave will do very well, and he seems pretty confident about things. He's been studying hard and he loves the material. Today is the "SO Social." FYI---that's what they call the significant others down here. Apparently the lunch is being catered by a great local chef of the restaurant Patrick's, famous for Grenadian home cooking. On the menu is beef stew, gingered pork ribs, chicken salad (its different here and always made with dark meat), green banana salad (this tastes a lot like potato salad-it's really good believe me), spinach rice, and macaroni pie (which is basically a tasty version of macaroni and cheese). It should be good. I'm definitely looking forward to it, and I'll have to bring a plate home for Dave. It will be a nice surprise. We continue to miss everyone and can't wait for May. Time is flying by. We'll be home before we know it! Happy Valentine's Day!
